the mysterious substance called quorn.
blogger has been slow. why?
not going away this weekend. instead i'll be working 2 shifts and hopefully doing things like reading for essays. but it's not looking promising.
in the meantime, let me tell you about quorn. quorn is a substance that is peculiar to england. it is a a substance, made of mycoprotein, which is a fungus like mushrooms. which can be made to taste and feel like chicken, but can also be made to feel and taste like beef. how weird is that!?
as far as i can gather, it is completely manufactured and processed, presumably in little test tubes and things, or possibly some gigantic test tubes, considering the quantities they produce. but the bottom line is that is it manufactured fungus which can be made into vegetarian chicken and vegetarian beef.
lazy afternoon or two? check it out! www.quorn.com
i steer clear of quorn. i've had ti, but it's just weird, okay?! i don't care that it might be a good source of protein or whatever, i just don't really like the fact that it tastes like chicken and feels like chicken when u chew it, but isn't actually chicken. and that the same substance can be made into beef-like meatballs. it's a very deceptive food! i can eat chicken, i'm not vegetarian, why eat quorn instead?!
and that's my post for the day,on quorn. doesn't taste bad, but it's weird, despite the fact that english people say that the fact that i put marmite on my hard boiled eggs at breakfast is wrong, it's not half as weird as quorn.
