wherefore art thou, mine friends?

another year has come to an end, slipped by in a blur of getting back from exchange, uni, assignments, work, lunches, drinks, dinners, more assignments and exams- and the realisation has suddenly hit me- the time has come to say goodbye to yet another load of friends. because i'm in 4th year, and i will be farewell-ing friends who did 4 year degrees, friends who started a year after me, and friends who did 5 year degrees and are done done done, and friends who are on exchange and are going back to their home countries.

i missed out on the first lot of friends going- my cohort, as it were- last year in dec cuz i was in england. i came back this year, and they weren't there, had been back in kl/singapore/other countries for a semester, starting on their working life/the rest of their life. and now, more are leaving, and it is sad, so very very sad!!!!!

and in a really self-centred way, i'm thinking, i am staying here over the summer, who will i hang out with?!??!?!??!?!? i'll be busy- working at the gelato shop, working at sofitel, and in jan, tutoring in the vce summer school... but what fun would be it without friends to hang out with?
