again, with the movies. and the shopping.

once again it is monday afternoon and i am in the library at uni, killing time before pilates. once again i have just watched a movie at nova (woohoo for cheap tickets!), this time, 'peaches'. that's the name of the movie. i chose the movie more on the basis of the time it was screening more than anything, it was just about to start when i got to nova. having said that, i enjoyed it. it's about this girl whose parents were killed in a car accident, and she was raised by her mum's best friend. on her 18th birthday she gets a job at a peach canning factory, and her grandfather gives her her mum's diary... and the story procedes from there. it's an australian film. it was a nice film to see on a lazy monday afternoon, nothing too taxing. or depressing, a.k.a. 'downfall'.

i've also watched 'war of the worlds', which is not bad. and 'batman begins'.
gotta love cheap tickets on tuesdays too!!

also been shoppping intermittently, okay, fine, pretty constantly, on friday me esther and ivy met up to shop, late night shopping at chaddy, woohoo!!! i had gone to glenferrie the week before and i wanted to go back to check out this shop which had everything under $30, so me and esther went before we met up with ivy, who was working, and while strolling down glenferrie rd we went into this shop which was selling lee denim jeans for $25, so i bought a pair!!! not bad for something which used to be $140. and then i went to the everything-under-$30 shop, i.e. lili clothing, and bought a brightly coloured skirt, a summer skirt. then we zoomed back to the city to meet ivy, then went to chadstone, where i bought my boots... sales, u gotta love them. but the boots were worth it. half-priced, looked like the pair of boots that i wanted to buy but they sold out of in the WHOLE OF MELBOURNE, and so warm. so very very warm... maybe not the best $50 i ever spent, but pretty close. hell, it might be the best $50 i spent that i remember at the moment.

i realise i haven't done very much to this blog. i'll improve it soon, i promise, once i have constant internet access!! i'll put up photos and such, it's going to be so cool, uh-huh, DUH-UH!!! so please bear with me until i reach the motherland...
