if u're pressed for time, just read the last sentence.
ah, melbourne. and more importantly, ah, internet! 1 wireless router, 5 IT consultants in india, 1 helpful aussie, 2 days and a lot of frustration, confusion and false hopes later, all computers in the house are connected to the internet. hooray, a cause for much rejoicing!!!
but back to melbourne. everything feels so familiar, yet it is strange to be back. i can navigate easily around the city, slip seamlessly back into an old groove, but i feel strange. i have to adjust to being back here, in this place- back in melbourne, back in my apt, back into this life. like i've taken an extended vacation from my own life, and have now returned to live it once more. and that is exactly what has happened.
i have rediscovered old friends, those i saw a lot more of before i left, not to england, but even before that, when i moved into IH in my second year. in the words of noel, "u disappeared after first year". so in a sense, this is not a homecoming to my life as it was just before i left for england, but to my life before IH. strange, no?
so while charissa is excited about moving in with me and excited about living out, i'm more blase about it all, because i have done it all before. it's a lifestyle i am rediscovering, not discovering for the first time. but it's all good. i've had more than enough of the college life.
so... melbourne's good, glad to be back!!
