to ah lian or not to ah lian, that is the question....

i'd forgotten how invigorating shopping can be. i was feeling a little tired when we got to sungai wang, i.e. ah lian central, but 2 dresses and a top later, i was feeling quite perky!

the thing is with ah lian clothes, is that they generally take current fashion trends, decide that it isn't enough, and that they can go one better. like, 'hey, let's take this perfectly good top, copied off high fashion, dye it neon pink, and add rhinestones and frills to it!'
so my mum and i walked around, laughed ourselves silly at some of the stuff being sold, and then walked into redrummurder and bought 2 dresses, with an option on a third. which is funny, cuz i went to ah lian central and bought stuff from a shop that isn't ah lian- they have shops in other non-ahlian shopping centres too. although later i did buy a top from an ah lian shop, though my mum has to modify it and take off some really quite unnecessary lace around the hem.

woo hoo i went to sungai wang and escaped being ah-lian-ified!!!!
hey, that skirt of mine would look really good with some rhinestones and frills on it...
