the most important decision a girl can make...
... is what to do with her hair. now that my short, somewhat spiky cut has grown out, i am at a crossroads. should i cut it really short again? should i grow it out long? do i go for a mid-length bob? ah, the decisions in life!!! here is a pictorial timeline of my hair. help me make an informed decision!
the long-haired days. with long fringe, side parting. do i want to return to the girly look? on the one hand, easy to maintain, can tie it back, pin it up, etc. on the other hand, it's quite boring.
in case u didn't realise, i'm the one on the right.
ah, the curly look. this was, however, a one-night only thing- not permanent. did it look good only cuz it was specially done for the IH ball? will it look good when i've just woken up and my hair is a mass of tangles?
the short bob, with long fringe. not funky, but quite classic.
short, funky, spiky cut. this prompted interesting reactions. girls like it, boys hate it. most guys really do like girls with long hair. the anguished reactions i got from my guy friends... they acted as if i was lost to the male species, as if i betrayed them and turned lesbian. for goodness' sakes, all i did was cut my hair, i didn't change my sexual orientation!
so there it is. recently [female] friends have said that they think i should cut my hair to its short short length again, they really liked it, it was different and funky. do i really want to look different?
dear friends, in this difficult decision, aid me. put in your two cents worth. maybe i should conduct a poll. in fact, yes, i am taking a poll. write your opinion in a comment on this post.

you should leave it long...because im trying to leave it long..so we can both stop each other from running to the hairdressers on impulse and cutting it off. It's for selfish reasons i know...

i love the long.. but that might just be because i'm indian and we have this thing for long hair.. or maybe because it reminds me of my husband's (the buffalo man's) buffalo's tail..:)
but rest assured, i'm sure whatever you pick, u'll look so gorgeous, that the boys will be falling over you anyway, and even if u do decide to change your sexual orientation, there will be no lack of girls who want a piece of you!

I say the short lesbian hair style. I loved it when I first saw it, and I still like it.
And yes gine, its alright to look different... All it does is make you more unique than you already are. In a good way. You look good with the short hair, go with it.

i so say curls, forget the short cut, u look stunning with them and i promise they're not too hard to manage -- i can help! hehe (that is if u think mine aren't a lost cause lol)

[results include some people who have just told me which one they liked over msn.]
so far a couple of boys have said long hair, which should support my hypothesis that guys prefer long hair, but not enough guys to really justify it!
but i still say it's true, generally. i'm sticking to it.
i think either the long or the spikey! both are nice... long is sweet and 'traditional', spikey is more funky and unique! :) ooh will you have decided by the time we go rampaging in prague together? :) *looking forward...*
