the countdown begins...

it is.....

4 days to my hall's may banquet, the last formal dinner in hall. ever.
5 days to my last essay deadline. last essay submission to notts uni.
12 days till my first exam.
24 days till the end of exams.
4 weeks till the rutland ball.
6 weeks till the end of my exchange to nottingham uni.
8 weeks till i leave europe for good.

where has all the time gone? it seems like just yesterday that i arrived here, to begin my exchange, thinking that a year was a very long time indeed. and now the days are zooming past in a blur of assignments, meals and research, revision lectures and work, of planning and remembering and wondering where all the time went.

i thought i'll be calm about it all, but now that the end looms ever nearer, i am discovering that i am not so cool about it after all. i've done a lot, i know, but wow!! where has the time gone?!??!?!

i told my friends about how i only had 6 weeks left in nottingham. they were shocked. i think they've come to think of me as someone who is going to be around for the next few years, not an exchange student with a shelf-life of 1 year. yep, i'm like a can of soup [preferably tomato] with an expiry date marked 'june 16th, 2006'. i get taken off the shelf at that date. not fit for public consumption.

i am scheduled to be back in kl on the 3rd of july, and back in melb on the 18th.

again i say, where has all the time gone?!??!??!
