a quickie in lithi.

hey all,
quick update- from poland, am now in lithuania. poland was surprisingly fun, it broke down my preconceptions of it. warsaw is, for example, no longer the post-WW2 bombed city i had imagined, it's a vibrant bustling city, with photos of the pope everywhere, as in the rest of poland, cuz it was the anniversary of his death a few days ago. everywhere u go, there's the pope's image. we did go to a lot of jewish heritage sites, that was sobering. but then we also stalked a trio of guards from the presidential palace to their barracks down the street. it was a good thing we didn't get bayoneted.

in vilnius, the capital of lithuania now. it's a pretty city, pretty wealthy, judging from the brand name shops lining the streets. we're talking couture here. roberto cavalli, the whole she-bang. hillier and more interesting than poland, i think i'll like lithuania!

on to the coast of lithuania, beautiful scenery, and then to riga and back to london, before going off to spain. i'm so excited, zara's summer collection is so awesome and i've heard it's cheaper in spain. of course, i'm looking forward to seeing the country itself, really i am!!!

over and out.

i've heard from reliable sources that its not only Zara thats cheaper in Spain; Mango is too.

of course i wonder if you'll have the time to shop considering u'll only be there for a week.

what a shame ;)

kiren kiren kiren... u should know by now that there is ALWAYS time for a quick kip to the shops!! cleverkiwibird understands the concept perfectly.a product of our consumer-driven lives (reference: 10 things i hate about you), and the fabulous collection at zara.

and your comment that mango is also cheaper fills me with glee. hm, i better go and change more euros.

charissa, maybe we should have gone to lithuania, not many asian people, see above post for asian celebrity status.

rave, u need to get out more. oh, and when i get back to nottingham i have to work on my backlog of prison break episodes, and get more off peerweb!
