SKYDIVING- so AMAZING!!

it was. it really really was!

there is nothing which compares to free-fall from 13000 feet. absolutely nothing. from the moment that u sit, strapped to an instructor, in the doorway of a small airplane, to the moment when, without warning, the instructor tips both of you forward, to rushing through cloud at 125miles an hour, free-falling for 50 seconds or so. when u're in free fall you cannot comprehend anything, because most of the time your brain's just going, 'WHA...........................................?!???!?!??!?!?!' it's the most amazing feeling, going through cloud, free fall feels like u're floating and falling at the same time. there's no time to be scared.

i was distracted in free fall by a solo instructor who jumped out after us, he appeared in front of me, spread-eagled, and stuck his tongue out at me, 11000 feet above the ground. while falling. i stuck my tongue back at him. then he did a stunt where instead of facing downwards, he turned himself upright and pretended to sit down. crazy!

and then we broke thru the cloud and the parachute was deployed, and it just felt like we were suspended in the air. i looked at the ground, 5000 feet below me, and surprisingly it didn't feel that far up. we drifted around for a bit, and then, possibly on my request, we did some turns, which the instructor took to mean that i wanted to be spun around crazily, like a top. the ground was spinning, i was screaming [happily], the instructor was yelling [gleefully]. and then we spun the other way.

i'm so glad that i did it. it was so awesome!! everyone should do it. it's the biggest mind-trip ever, free fall, and when the parachute deploys, it's just so good looking at things from so high up. little mini buildings and little mini cars and little mini trees!! everything looks so cute from high up.
